Sports Day 2010 July 18, 2010

Well done and thank you to the 14 cubs that attended sports day this weekend. All the cubs took part in track or field events and were magnificent in their contribution to pack points.

Under 9½ 3rd Place with 15pts, under 10½ 1st place 24points. resulting in a combination of scores 2nd Place overall resulting in 19points for pack of the year.

I know a number were very frustrated and upset due to not winning races / events, this is why when we ask to be informed of children not being able to attend we can change things so everyone has a fair chance of competing. but all the cubs did very well and made me and the other leaders very proud.

Pictures are now online for you to see, if any one is having problems logging on please let me know.

Thank you must also go to the many leaders and helpers who put on the event and helped organise.

Once again thank you to all parents and cubs for a wonderful day.

Well after a weekend of fun and games the cubs and leaders have all returned safely home after a very tiring and long weekend.

The cubs joined 200 other cubs taking part in a fun filled weekend, including Karting, Climbing, Archery, cooking, pioneering and many other activities.

the weekend was very hot and we managed to avoid any rain.

The cubs drank through 18 bottles of 4 liters of squash – so no one went thirsty!!!!

I must thank ARIEL cubs for their support this weekend i wouldn’t have been able to do what we did without their help, so thanks Richard, Libby, John and others. Also Sym for helping out thank you all you deserve medals.

Also can i just mention the behaviour of all the cubs was outstanding they are all a credit to their parents. well done cubs.

Photos are going on the site now and will be available shortly.

thank  you

Dear All

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Bill Shotton – ACC Cub Scouts passed away peacefully this afternoon (22nd April ).

Bill was a great ambassador for Scouting and especially Cub Scouting. He would always make every effort to attend District events and would always want to take part with the cubs.

I will always remember Bill for always wanting the cubs to  enjoy themselves, make new friends and over all have fun.

Thank You Bill you will always be remembered, God Bless now you are at Peace.

Condolences to your wife and Family

District Visit to Twin lakes March 28, 2010

12 cubs enjoyed the dayout yesterday at Twin Lakes theme park in Melton Mowbray. Thank you to Andy, Tracey and Ros for helping out on a really enjoyable day.

The weather was very kind to us, even if the traffic jams weren’t. We eventually arrived after the motorway got closed due to an accident and 4 coaches of cubs and leaders were let loose on the park.

The park wasnt busy which enabled the cubs and adults to go on and off rides as they wished.

Photos are available in the photo album.

Thank you once again, and well done cubs you all were extremely well behaved.
